  • Specify equipment & services, solicit tendering, evaluation, award & contracting of geophysical work, in cooperation with company’s procurement team.
  • Responsible for the day to day Geophysical requirements
  • Interface with company and specialist third-parties specialists to ensure geophysical activities are consistent with company objectives.

The successful candidate will :
  • An Indonesian Citizen, domiciled in Jakarta.
  • Possess a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Geophysics or Geosciences (teknik geofisika & geosains).
  • Demonstrate a minimum ten years experience in a similar role.
  • Possess expertise on Geophysical Interpretation Skills.
  • Have a proven capability to work independently, under pressure.
  • Have well developed organisation and operational skills.
  • Have proven strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Have a proven relationship with Indonesia’s regulatory bodies.
  • Must have an extensive knowledgeable of Indonesia basins.
  • Possess a good working knowledge and experience with a suite of geoscience software’s.

A fully funded three-year PhD studentship is available in the Operations Management Division at Nottingham University Business School within a successful research programme supported by the Ford Motor Company and Nottingham’s Innovative Manufacturing Research Centre. The research is examining the design and performance of order fulfilment systems and offers opportunities to investigate new approaches in the areas of production planning, revenue management and stakeholder modelling. The research requires skills in data analysis, simulation and modelling. Support will be given to extend research skills and in the use of analytical tools.

Students should have an appreciation of the discipline of operations management and a foundation in quantitative data analysis and modelling techniques. A background in operations research may be valuable. A good undergraduate degree is required and a relevant Masters degree is desirable. Within the large research project on Seismic Retrofit Solutions at the University of Auckland a PhD scholarship is available for conducting research on the retrofitting of steel structures. The research aims at a consideration of the structure, footing and subsoil as a whole system and to develop adequate solutions to keep structures under strong earthquakes intact. Funding (scholarship)
The scholarship is available for a period of three years, and is valued at $25,000 per annum tax exempt. In addition all academic fees will be covered. Funding for experimental tests is also available. The research is sponsored by the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology.

Background required Applicant with high academic merit (Dipl.-Ing. or Master degree) in structural engineering or engineering mechanics is required. Abilities to perform creative, accurate and careful works are essential. Applicant with excellent computational skills or experimental experiences is of advantage.

Sebagai upaya untuk menyukseskan penerapan program tersebut, Sampoerna Foundation, bekerjasama dengan Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Dasar dan Lanjutan, Departemen Pendidikan Nasional, Republik Indonesia, akan menyediakan 1.000 beasiswa (scholarships) untuk siswa SMP setiap tahun.

Sampoerna Foundation berkomitmen untuk memberikan dukungan terhadap pelajar yang berkualitas untuk menyelesaikan pendidikan Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) dalam memenuhi tuntutan wajib belajar. Di masa mendatang, Sampoerna Foundation akan memperluas beasiswanya(scholarships) kepada murid-murid Sekolah Dasar.

Beasiswa (scholarships) Sekolah Menegah Pertama
Sampoerna Foundation berkomitmen untuk mendukung pengembangan pendidikan dengan menyediakan beasiswa (scholarship) untuk berbagai cakupan jenjang pendidikan. Sejalan dengan tujuannya untuk mengembangkan sumber daya manusia, Sampoerna Foundation merencanakan bantuan pendidikan di semua jenjang, termasuk pendidikan dasar. Sekolah Menegah Pertama (SMP) adalah bagian dari program wajib belajar sembilan tahun yang ditetapkan pemerintah, dan beasiswa ini merupakan sebuah sarana bagi pelajar untuk menyelesaikan pendidikan wajibnya. .

Dalam tahun akademik 2004 hingga 2006, Sampoerna Foundation berketetapan untuk memberi bantuan dana kepada 3.000 pelajar yang berlatar belakang keluarga kurang mampu untuk menyelesaikan pendidikan SMP. Program dilaksanakan dalam kerjasama dengan Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Dasar dan Lanjutan, Departemen Pendidikan Nasional, Republik Indonesia dan SMP Negeri di seluruh Indonesia . Program ini diterapkan pada tahun 2004.

Cakupan Beasiswa (scholarship)

Penerima beasiswa (scholarship) akan menerima bantuan keuangan sejumlah Rp 50,000 per bulan selama maksimal 3 (tiga) tahun. Sampoerna Foundation telah menjalin kerjasama dengan Bank Rakyat Indonesia dalam mendistribusikan dana beasiswa (scholarships) kepada para penerima. Dana tersebut akan ditransfer melalui rekening pribadi penerima beasiswa (scholarships) tiap semester, dengan kelanjutan beasiswa (scholarships) ini berdasarkan rapor semesteran yang disampaikan sekolah kepada Sampoerna Foundation.

Persyaratan
Siswa kelas 1 SMP yang direkomendasikan oleh sekolah masing-masing melalui Direktoran Pendidikan dasar dan Lanjutan, Departemen Pendidikan Nasional, Republik Indonesia;
Surat keterangan ekonomi lemah;
Pelajar yang direkomendasikan tidak sedang menerima beasiswa (scholarships) dari institusi lainnya;
Prestasi akademis yang bagus dan mampu mempertahankan dan/atau meningkatkan kinerjanya saat belajar dengan Beasiswa (scholarships) Sampoerna Foundation Scholarship;
Beasiswa (scholarships) diberikan kepada siswa SMP yang duduk di kelas 1 semester pertama;
Beasiswa (scholarships) akan diberikan dalam masa 3 (tiga) tahun berturut-turut kepada siswa yang lulus ujian evaluai akademis yang diselenggarakan oleh sekolah masing-masing;
Berdasarkan penilaian tahunan, Sampoerna Foundation berhak menghentikan bantuan beasiswa (scholarship) kepada siswa yang gagal mempertahankan kinerja/prestasi akademisnya.

Sampoerna Foundation berpegang pada kebijakan non-diskriminatif, berfokus pada keanekaragaman dan multibudaya dalam menerapkan program beasiswanya. Semua prosedur penyeleksian Sampoerna Foundation diadakan tanpa bias terhadap gender, agama, etnis, atau kemampuan fisik.

Unbeatable Covering Letter


Covering letter should be well written, precise and informative. Make the letter relevant to the vacancy and highlight why you are most suited. Use relevant experience detailed in your cv (curiculum vitae) in the covering note to indicate what you will bring to the company and position advertised. This is 7-tips for unbeatable covering letter

1. Experts in HR advice that the covering letter should be specifically directed to the person mentioned in the advertisement.
2. Use a professional format and tone in the letter. If you do not know the persons name, address the letter to ?sir or madam.?
3. The covering letter should be brief, never more than one page long. It is the teaser that must tempt the person to read further.
4. Plan to use several small paragraphs and keep sentences to the point.
5. Ensure that you include contact details and the date of writing the letter and information such as job codes given in the advertisement.
6. Make the letter job specific. Write why your experience matters and how it will suit the job advertised. The reader must be convinced that you are ideal for the job.
7. End the letter with ?Yours Sincerely?.
Read the advertisement carefully and follow instructions in a stepwise manner. Always check the letter and cv (curiculum vitae) for typos, punctuation, and errors. Never hand write the covering letter it should be typed with proper formatting and line spacing.
Be sure to present key points in logical order. Get another person to objectively read the letter. Avoid using too many Is and write a letter aimed at the ?5 second reader.? Your professionalism should show through the letter as also your competence.

Kebanyakan teman-teman saya yang baru lulus dari universitas memberikan reaksi yang umum : Mata melirik keatas ataupun memberikan reaksi seakan-akan berpikir, kemudian memandangi lagi si pewawancara sambil tersenyum lebar, dan kemudian berkata, "Saya tidak tahu." ataupun "Saya belum memikirkannya."

Dalam menjalani kehidupan, kita dapat mengambil contoh proses ulat menjadi kupu-kupu. Saat kita menjalani pendidikan seakan-akan kita seperti menjalani kehidupan ulat yang melahap semua ilmu yang diberikan pada saat menjalani pendidikan sampai kita lulus. Kebanyakan mereka yang lulus belum mempunyai konsep dalam hidupnya, sehingga mereka merasa putus asa apabila tidak mendapat pekerjaan dan merasa terasing. Sopankah Menanyakan Hasil Wawancara?

Panggilan wawancara kerja (debriefing jobs) merupakan sesuatu yang selalu dinantikan oleh setiap pelamar kerja (job seeker), karena disitu merupakan hasil akhir dari sejumlah tes yang telah anda lakukan (psikotest). Terkadang kita menjadi kebingungan dan penasaran atas hasil dari wawancara kerja (debriefing jobs) yang telah kita lakukan.

Apakah pantas menanyakan hasil wawancara kerja yang telah kita lakukan ??

Memang, pada beberapa perusahaan membutuhkan beberapa waktu terkadang sampai satu bulan untuk memproses hasil dari tes wawancara (
debriefing test). Jadi, apabila anda menghadapi situasi tersebut maka anda dapat menanyakan hasil tes wawancara kerja setelah lewat dua minggu dari waktu wawancara. Tanyakan langsung pada divisi HRD atau orang yang mewawancarai anda.

Jika pihak perusahaan menjawab bahwa "hasil test Anda tersimpan dalam database dan sewaktu-waktu diperlukan Anda akan dipanggil lagi", berarti jawaban sesungguhnya lamaran Anda tidak diproses lebih lanjut. Jawaban seperti itu biasanya merupakan penolakan secara halus setidaknya untuk saat itu. Bisa jadi, suatu saat jika ada kualifikasi yang cocok, Anda akan dipanggil lagi. Namun dengan jawaban seperti itu Anda jangan lantas terus menanti tanpa berusaha lagi. Buatlah lamaran lain sebanyak-banyaknya.

Sebaliknya kalau jawaban perusahaan memberi kepastian, misalnya,"Anda memang memenuhi kualifikasi kami dan dengan pertanyaan Anda, kami sekaligus memanggil Anda pada tanggal...", berarti kemungkinan besar Anda akan diterima. Mungkin saat itu pihak perusahaan belum sempat menghubungi Anda lebih lanjut dikarenakan adanya kepentingan lain.

Menulis Surat Lamaran Melalui Email


Pada saat ini, teknologi komputer sudah sangatlah maju. Kita banyak mendapatkan kemudahan dalam berbagai macam hal, salah satunya adalah melamar perkejaan (job aplication) melalui email.

Tapi ada beberapa tips menulis surat lamaran (aplication letter) yang mungkin dapat membantu anda

1. Judul email (subject)
Judul email harus diisi dengan singkat dan jelas sehingga memudahkan penerima email untuk memahami dan mengetahui maksud dan tujuan dari email yang diterima

Cat : Baca baik-baik isi dari iklan lowongan kerja (aplication jobs), kadang-kadang kita diharuskan untuk mengisi kode tertentu (kode pekerjaan) pada judul atau subjek email anda

2. Badan Email (blok untuk menulis pesan)
Kadang kita bingung, "Dimana kita menulis surat lamaran (aplication letter) ??". Saya pernah menanyakan hal tersebut pada teman saya yang kebetulan bekerja di bagian HRD, menurut mereka kita dapat menulis surat lamaran (aplication letter) pada bagian badan email (blok untuk menulis pesan). Artinya perusahaan tetap akan menerima email anda

3. Resume
Jangan menulis resume pada bagian badan email (blok untuk menulis pesan). Tuliskan pada file tersendiri yang merupakan bagian dari lampiran yang akan anda sertakan


4. Ukuran email
Usahakan ukuran email anda tidak melebihi 300 kb, ukuran email terdiri dari file-file yang di-attach. Ukuran foto yang akan anda sertakan, perkecil ukurannya dengan photo editor (ACDSee, Photoshop dan lain-lain)

5. Test Kirim
Surat lamaran (aplication letter) yang dikirim lewat email, selain melakukan proof read, Anda juga perlu melakukan test pengiriman.
